Throughout his era he did everything, pouring his heart and soul into his job, never asking for anything in return except perhaps for the right of opportunities for people to play touch football.
Ed was never driven by awards or recognition, he was incredibly humble; however the legacy he left and the touch football empire he built are indelible. His achievements are immeasurable and the awards and prestigious inductions he received are a reflection of Ed’s 50+ years of hard work, commitment & innovation.
Though no longer with us in person, Ed’s Legacy will carry on through his family, his not-for-profit and the thousands of lives he touched over the years with his dedication to touch football and community.

Ed Laverty Legacy Donation Ceremony
The Laverty Hall family were truly honoured to present the first official cheque from the Ed Laverty Legacy Sports Fund to the Hunt Club Riverside Community Centre a $2,000 donation toward new sports equipment and the launch of a youth touch football program at the centre.
